02 — What Our Cybersecurity Service Covers

What Our Cybersecurity Service Covers

Layered protection, managed as one environment rather than a stack of separate products.

Firewall & Network Security

Next-generation firewalls configured, monitored, and kept up to date. Networks are segmented so a problem in one area does not spread to the rest.

See our network services →

Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR/MDR)

Protection that detects and responds to threats on laptops, desktops, and servers, with managed detection and response.

24/7 SOC Monitoring

Around-the-clock security monitoring and response through a security operations center (SOC). If you already have a SOC or security partner, we coordinate with it instead of duplicating it.

Microsoft 365 & Identity Security

Multi-factor authentication, conditional access, and account protection with Microsoft Entra and Microsoft Defender. Identity is treated as the first line of defense.

Email Security & Phishing Training

Filtering of phishing and malicious email, plus security awareness training so staff can recognize attacks.

Patch Management

Operating system and firmware updates scheduled by risk, with a rollback plan documented before changes are made.

Backup & Ransomware Recovery

Backups that are restore-tested on a schedule, not just completed, so you can recover after ransomware or a system failure.

See backup & disaster recovery →

Compliance Support

Documented controls and audit evidence for HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and CMMC/NIST requirements.

Platforms we work with: Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft Defender and Entra, and Cisco.

03 — How We Run Security Day to Day

How We Run Security Day to Day

Senior engineers own the environment

Security settings are designed and operated by the same senior engineers who manage your network and systems.

Quarterly security reviews

Configuration drift, open risks, and patch status are reviewed with your leadership every quarter, and any decision to accept a risk is documented.

Works with your existing team

If you have internal IT, a SOC, or a security partner, responsibilities are written down so nothing falls between teams.

04 — Security for Regulated Industries

Security for Regulated Industries

Healthcare, financial services, and legal practices carry extra requirements for access control, audit trails, and recovery. We help these organizations meet HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, and CMMC/NIST requirements with documented controls and evidence their auditors can review. Licht Data does not issue certifications or audit opinions; we put in place and document the controls your auditor examines.

05 — Security in Practice

Security in Practice

60,000 sq ft Manufacturing Facility

Fortinet security, a network divided into five segments, high-availability servers, Veeam backup with AWS disaster recovery, and IP surveillance, all managed as one environment.

Serving businesses across Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties from our headquarters in Irvine.

06 — Cybersecurity FAQ

Cybersecurity FAQ

Do you provide 24/7 security monitoring?

Yes. Threats are monitored around the clock through a security operations center (SOC), with EDR/MDR on your endpoints.

We already have an IT person or a security vendor. Can you work with them?

Yes. We document who is responsible for what and coordinate with your existing team or SOC rather than replacing them.

Can you help us with HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, or CMMC?

Yes. We put the technical controls in place and keep the evidence your auditor needs. We do not issue certifications ourselves.

What happens if we are hit by ransomware?

Affected systems are isolated, and data is restored from backups that are tested on a schedule. Recovery steps are written down before an incident, not during one.

Do we need new firewalls?

Not always. We review what you have first. When replacement makes sense, we recommend equipment sized to your business and budget.

How much does managed cybersecurity cost?

It depends on the number of users, devices, and locations, and on the compliance requirements you need to meet. We review your environment and give you a written quote.

Who do we call when something looks wrong?

Call us. Calls are answered 24/7, and response times are set in your service agreement.
